CALL FOR PAPERS & IMPORTANT DATES

Digitization for the Next Generation

The conference theme of “Digitization for the next generation” challenges us as a community to look ahead. Although going digital is the new normal, technological advances and fundamental problems in our societies, such as the pandemic and climate change, call for research that takes us to the next generation of digitization. We invite you to join us in Copenhagen for an in-person discussion on how information systems research can help us leverage opportunities for innovation, tackle grand challenges of our societies, and grapple with the effects of digital transformation. ICIS 2022 will bring bright minds of our community together to engage in forward thinking discussion on how to best contribute to research, business, and society.

While this idea is pertinent to all tracks of ICIS 2022, we would like to highlight the conference theme track that invites forward looking research on digitization for the next generation.

Submit your best upcoming work as completed research papers or short papers to ICIS 2022. The conference will also include Panels, a CIO Symposium, and Professional Development Workshops, in addition to 24 tracks covering all areas of IS research. Please refer to more information about tracks at https://icis2022.aisconferences.org/submissions/track-descriptions/.

Journal Publication Policy

The AIS Policy on Conference and Journal Publication encourages conference papers to be published in journals. This policy applies to AIS conferences (there are no copyright issues to prevent your AIS conference paper from being published in any journal (AIS or not)), and to AIS journals (there are no restrictions preventing you from submitting your conference paper to an AIS journal). Many non-AIS journals have similar policies, so you can submit your AIS conference paper to them. The policy and list of non-AIS journals with similar policies, is available at the Policy page.
